Winter is here again and we’ve had a lot of rain to start the season. This rain and wind has caused a bit of chaos with some storm damage to residential and commercial buildings from Huskisson, Ulladulla to Batemansbay. I have been repairing some damage in these areas as well as some small renovation work in the Manyana, Cunjurong Point area. Work is still busy with me quoting some new jobs at present and starting a new extension renovation at Bawley Point.

What a start to 2013!

Well what a start to 2013 it has been. My wife and I welcomed our twin babies into the world on January 2nd to go with our 4 year old son, Sam. On top of that, work has been keeping me very busy so it’s been quite a hectic time for me. I should have a few new projects to add to the gallery shortly. Don’t forget I work in a broad area from Batemans Bay to Nowra, predominantly in the Mollymook/Ulladulla region.

Storm Damage Transformation!

These photos show extensive damage to a pergola by a large tree in an extreme storm. The second photo shows the job in progress…almost complete and looking even better than it did before the damage. This particular job was situated in Rosedale, which although an hours drive from Ulladulla, does not phase me for such jobs.

From an unused backyard in Mollymook to a vibrant, enticing guest retreat!

This is an example of how a wasted area of yard can be transformed with a little creativity and clever use of space. We turned an unused area into a secluded retreat for guests and/or entertaining. This particular transformation was in the backyard of a modest Mollymook home, which had been home to this couple for over 2 decades. This vibrant new extension, has easily added many more years to this couples enjoyment of the dwelling to come.

Well welcome all to Ben Greenacre Builder. It’s been a while coming but we finally got there. We have a shiny new website with all the trimmings so newcomers can check it out and friends can pop in and watch the progress of our challenges as new projects happen.

I’m hoping that this blog will be a little insight into what we do on a personal level. Here I’ll be able to post some photos and explanations of new projects….what impresses me, what looks good and I guess a bit of a “watch this space” as buildings emerge and take on a personality and style, and for clients to come and get involved in what is mostly a very personal experience….building a home.

For now I’ll leave you with a clients beach house in Manyana. This home we built was designed by Blair Mullins at ARTHOUSE from jervis Bay as a Holiday Home and it does the job more than nicely. It has amazing Polished concrete flooring, throughout with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (including an outdoor balinese style bathroom) and huge sun drenched decks. The owners of this home have also included some very nice styling to compliment. their home design. enjoy the pics…

So hopefully you’ll pop back in soon as we do have a few little projects happening and therefore, a few things to discuss and show you….coming shortly.
